Infrastructure Engineer

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Solicitors based in Barking who are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.

The role requires an in-depth knowledge of cloud-based IT infrastructure and Microsoft systems, along with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with external IT service providers to ensure prompt and effective resolution of IT support issues, especially for high-priority events.
• Recognise the need for system upgrades and configuration changes, ensuring these are executed in a way that minimizes disruption to the firm.
• Assist with IT maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing reliability of our IT hardware, systems, and networks.
• Supervise the maintenance of our phone systems, including establishing procedures to handle seasonal changes, such as correctly diverting calls during bank holidays.
• Manage and coordinate our third-party contracts.
• Assess all hardware needs, ensure equipment suitability, and develop and implement a fixed asset register and hardware renewal program.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong track record in providing IT support and resolving technical issues
• Proficient in installing and configuring operating systems for both desktops and servers, including Windows Server and Windows 10/11
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
• Extensive experience in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL databases
• Skilled in using Microsoft PowerShell for command execution and scripting
• Experienced in constructing, installing, and maintaining server systems
• Well-versed in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network systems
